College Station, Texas, April 15, 2009 — Advanced Gaming Systems, Inc. (AGSI), developers of the famous Harpoon series of naval simulations, announces the
beta of the latest version, 3.10. Used by defense and naval professionals such as the Australian Defense Department and Northrop-Grumman for lightweight desktop analysis, Harpoon allows users to "game" situations ranging from a simple boarding action against pirates to full blown fleet encounters with air, surface and submarine units. Not only are there hundreds ready-to-use

scenarios in the many Battlesets™, but editors permit the user to make their own sensors, weapons, and platforms to use in their custom scenarios featuring programmable missions and tactics covering virtually any situation. New mission types in 3.10 allow for boarding via ship or helicopter so users can create basic interdiction and anti-piracy missions, so prominent in today's world. Future versions in the works will not only enhance the boarding options, but include such concepts as Cost of Operations, UxV and SAR missions. The simulations may be played against a computer's artificial intelligence or a human opponent.Harpoon version 3.10 also allows users to encrypt their custom-designed databases and scenarios. This feature eliminates the danger of plagiarism by third parties.Other features include Geospatial Information Systems Interface allowing for simple geometric shapes representing such things as reefs, oil derricks, cities, rivers, economic exclusion zones and national borders, to be imported from different products; Harpoon Track Interface that ensures all unit tracks can be exported to a standard database product and then to products such as Analytic Graphic's
Satellite Tool Kit®; "Hot Washup" or "VCR" feature provides the ability for entire games to be recorded, viewed, edited and replayed; and many other features that place the user in a virtual Combat Information Center.
